TESTIMONIES OF FRENCH PILOTS

Three French pilots confronted, in flight, with UFO came to testify in front of the committee. Their testimonies are all the more interesting as belonging to the world of the aeronautics, they know how to appreciate better than the others the air phenomena.

HUNTING PILOT (IN MARCH 3, 1976)

This pilot having wished to remain anonymous, the lines which follow among which extracted from the written testimony which he was kind enough to send us.

On March 3, 1976, trainee at the experimental school at the School of fighter command of Tours, he makes a night flight solo on a training plane T-33. The mission consists of a navigation at the height of 6000 m, according to a route Rennes-Nantes-Poitiers, followed by an landing at Tours. Several planes follow the same route in 5 minutes by interval. The night is black but cloudless, the city gets loose very sharply, at the level of considered flight; the visibility is superior to 100 km. While he is in flight stabilized at the height of 6000 m, in a speed of 460 kph, the pilot perceives straight front and very remote (in limit of detection of the lights on the ground) what he thinks of being, at first , the departure of a rocket of road marking of green color. In 1 to 2 seconds, this rocket exceeds the height of its plane of 1500 m and seems to stabilize in the space before coming down again in its direction. It approaches in a vertiginous speed with cap collision with the plane and fills all the frontal mirror of the cockpit. Thinking the inevitable impact, the cowardly pilot sleeve and crosses arms in front of its face in a gesture of protection reflex. The plane is completely surrounded with a very lively and phosphorescent green light. The pilot perceives a sphere which avoids its plane just and passes near the right wing, the whole it a fraction of a second. The pilot, who wishes to remain anonymous, nurse of this incident the following recollection :

- The sphere is not very voluminous (1 - 2 m of diameter),

- The sphere went on of a tail, comparable to that of the comet, also the color fluorescent green,

-- The centre of the sphere is constituted by a very lively white light (type fire of magnesium),

- On the whole, the observation in lasted less than 5 seconds.

The pilot, who was very shocked by this phenomenon, informs the radar controller insuring on the ground the control of the mission; this one discovered nothing on its radar scope. On the way back, two other pilots, who followed the same route will declare to have seen the phenomenon, but by far.
