Valensole, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence ( in July 1-st, 1965 )
Our witness, who left his place of residence at 5 o'clock in the morning, goes to his fields of lavender situated on the shelf near the village. Before starting up his tractor at about 6 o'clock, he lights a cigarette and hears at this moment a whistling which draws its attention. Appearing back a tree, he sees, in about 90 m of him, an object put in his field. The shape evokes that of the car "Dauphine" put on six paws with a central pivot. He move closer with precaution, at a distance of a dozen meters, thinking maybe of surprising people flying from him of the lavender. He sees then two small beings, among which the one, the turned in its direction, is going to point towards him a tube taken in a sort of money-bag hung on its left custard tart. The man will clarify that he is going to be totally immobilized on the spot, numbed and paralyzed, but perfectly conscious of the events which are going to take place under the eyes. Both beings are going then to go back up in their machine. He will observe them, while they will be behind a sort of dome, and he will hear a deaf noise as the object will rise known ground. Also, he will notice that the tube which was under the object, in the contact of the ground, will begin turning, as well as six paws, which will skip under the device. The object will rise then upright before bowing in oblique and disappearing more fast than a jet plane. The witness will remain so immobilized during about fifteen minutes before finding his spirits, then resuming his work and going to tell his history the village where the policemen, having had knowledge of the affair, will audition him during the day.
The brigade of Valensole's police force, then the brigade of research for Deserving, investigated into this case during several days. The investigations of the police force established the existence, in the place indicated by the witness, of a washbasin printed in the ground, which was diluted in this place. In its center was a cylindrical hole in the smooth walls 18 centimeters in diameter and 40 centimeters deep. In the heart of this one were three other holes 6 centimeters in diameter cranked. Along the axis of flight of the object, on hundred of meters, the plans of lavender were withered. This phenomenon lasted several years, during which the witness tried vainly to transplant plantations in a shelf of some meters around the track.
In spite of some contradictory elements in this story, elements collected by both brigades of police force confirmed the admissibility of the facts, in particular the effects on the environment and on the witness himself, who, for several months, slept twelve at fifteen o'clock on night, following the paralysis a victim of which he had been. The inquiry of morality on the witness will not reveal particular elements allowing to suspect a behavior of mythomaniac or an assembly of a hoax.
