At about 17 o'clock, a man who builds a small shelter for a pump with water, in its garden, is going to be a witness of what is maybe one of the most unusual cases ever observed and studied in France.

A reflection of the sun on something evolving in the sky is going to draw its attention and to allow him to observe the descent, then the rough landing, on a central reservation situated below its house, below a silent metal object. This one, of egg-shaped shape, presented no visible roughness, wing, steers or engine, allowing to assimilate it to any aircraft. This object will stay some brief moments on the central reservation, always by emitting no noise, then it will take off and will disappear in a very high speed in the blue sky azure. This story could stop in this simple visual observation, if there had been no tracks and visible mechanical imprints in shape of crown which will make tip over the affair in the field of the unexplained.

The police force, then the GEPAN, will lead a detailed inquiry, containing numerous conversations with the witness and its neighborhood. The expert appraisement on the ground - sampling of ground) and vegetables, followed by analysis - will show, without ambiguity, that it was indeed a not identified heavy metal object which had really settled on the central reservation. The analysis of vegetables taken from the site will indicate that one was not in the presence of any aircraft, including a helicopter or drone serviceman, hypotheses which had been envisaged and analyzed. Indeed, chlorophyll, as well as certain amino acids of plants, presented important variations of concentrations, variations decreasing with the estrangement of the center of the mechanical track. Two years later, these same effects disappeared completely, revealing so a specific and particular type of traumatism. According to the professor Michel Bounias, of the laboratory of ecology and vegetable toxicology of the INRA, who made analyses, the cause of the profound disturbances registered on the present vegetation in this ecosystem could be credibly powerful one fields electromagnetic pulsed in the range of the high frequencies (microwaves).

The studies and the researches always continue on this affair where numerous tracks were investigated. Nobody of them was able to satisfy all the conditions allowing to identify with certainty the object which settled to Trans-en-Provence on January 8, 1981 and even less to determine the origin of it.
